Wintertime is such a beautiful time of year in Utah (when we have snow), but add to our already dry air the heating of our homes and it may contribute to really dry hands and feet.
I’ve learned over the years that my diet also contributes to my dry hands and feet, but for this post I want to share my experience recently with a pretty big crack on my thumb. These minor looking cracks can cause major pain. I know it is all relevant, but just buttoning my 501 jeans was killer with the crack on my thumb.
I took some virgin coconut oil, put about an oversized tablespoon full in a small bowel, put it next to the heater or on the fireplace and after it melted I added a couple of drops of Ameo Cell Therapy Essential Oil (this will last a few days). Before going to bed I rubbed my hands and feet (my heals in particular are about 40 grit).

After two days my hands overall and my feet were feeling quite a bit better, however the major crack on my thumb wasn’t much different. Yes I want a quick fix, though I am usually pretty patient concerning alternative health options versus taking a pill. I then put some of Christopher’s “Complete Tissue & Bone” on my cracked thumb for the next two nights and saw a huge change. The pain was gone and I could tell that it was healing.
I don’t know how much the coconut oil and cell therapy contributed, but from that point I’ve been pretty consistent (not every night) using coconut oil with Ameo Cell Therapy Essential Oil and my hands and feet are doing great. I just tied a tie and didn’t snag it once with my hands!
